Local recipients included two 2017 Heppner High School graduates and a continuing college student from Hermiston. Kolby Currin is the son of Stephen and Lisanne Currin of Heppner. Kevin Murray is the son of John and Ann Murray of Heppner. Both Kolby and Kevin will attend Blue Mountain Community College in the fall. Manuel received TCCA’s scholarship designated for an employee or child of a TCCA employee. TCCA’s scholarship program was established in 2003 by the Association’s board of directors. The program created three scholarships to be awarded to graduating Tillamook County high school seniors. In 2005, two additional scholar- Currin ships were added: one for a graduating high school senior in Morrow County, the location of Tilla- mook’s second cheesemaking plant; and one for a continuing college student who is from Tillamook County.
