Foquette had reached out to welcome the 1994 Pend- leton High School graduate and Buckaroo basketball star to the Linebacker’s Club Hall of Fame, as the club expanded its scope to include more than just former foot- ball greats into the exclusive club. “I was just fl abbergasted,” said Bullington, recalling the conversation. “It’s a huge honor and I wasn’t aware that they were opening it up to females and other sports this year. I bleed green-and-gold and am excited to be here.” She joined 15 other members to make up the Linebacker’s Club Hall of Fame’s Class of 2017 — the largest one in the Hall of Fame’s 14 years — that was formally inducted on Friday night in a ceremony at the Pendleton Convention Center. Oakland Cruz’s three-run drive off Liam Hendricks put Seattle up 6-2 during a four-run eighth. Cruz also had RBI singles in the fi rst and third as Seattle snapped a four-game Seattle skid. Paxton (7-3) did not allow a hit after Marcus Semien’s two-run double in the second. The left-hander matched a season high with nine strikeouts while walking three and hitting a batter. Nick Vincent pitched a perfect eighth, and Mark Rzepczynski and Steve Cishek fi nished. Paxton has won consecutive starts after losing three of four and struggling in his return from the disabled list in May. Cano entered Friday hitting Baseball/Softball Sports shorts McIlroy misses cut at Irish Open PORTSTEWART, Northern Ireland (AP) — Rory McIlroy missed the cut at the Irish Open for the fourth time in fi ve years, leading the four-time major winner to express concerns on Friday about parts of his game ahead of the British Open. McIlroy shot 1-over 73 in his second round over the links at Portstewart and was 1 over for the tournament, which he is hosting to benefi t his foundation. He was four strokes below the cut mark and 14 strokes off the joint leaders, McIlroy Benjamin Hebert and Daniel Im. McIlroy also missed the cut at the U.S. Open last month and hasn’t had a victory so far in 2017, during which he has had two spells out because of a rib injury. The only time he made the cut at the Irish Open since 2012 was last year, when he won. “I’m not really worried about it but as of today, I do not have a job for next year. Hope to still be racing. DraftKings to offer WNBA as a daily fantasy game NEW YORK (AP) — WNBA daily fantasy players will have more options after DraftKings added the league to its offerings on Friday. “It’s been on our roadmap since we launched the company,” said Matt Kalish, DraftKings Co-Founder and Chief Revenue Offi cer. “Glad we fi nally (added it), think it will do really well.” DraftKings has had a sponsorship deal with Madison Square Garden for the past few years. It’s been the marquee name on the New York Liberty’s jersey since 2015. Kalish said it was too early to say if the site would offer any sort of promotions with the Liberty or MSG.
