STATEMENT OF CHANGES IN ACTIVITIES and SOURCES OF FINANCING The 2017-2018 approved budget totals $164,962,136, which represents an increase of $83.39M over the current year. Included in these figures is the General Fund budgeted at $61.8M, which has increased nearly 11% over the current year. The General Fund increase stems primarily from projected growth in Weighted Average Daily Membership (ADMw) and an increase in the State School Fund per ADMw allocation. Also included in this year's approved budget is $72M for potential bond expenditures, as related to Measure #30-125, and the District's request to issues $104,805,000 in bonds for capital construction. However, because the community did not approve the bond measure, it is the Board of Education's intention to reduce the budget prior to adoption. Expected revisions include a reduction to interest expense in the Debt Service Fund and the removal of Fund 400 and Fund 401, both designated for capital construction expenditures. The revised budget expected to be adopted totals $91,214,624. The Levy for General Obligation Bonds is expected to be $8,431,164.
