Meet our Instructors
Brandy Anderson is a photographer and artist who currently
attends Blue Mountain Community College. She gravitates towards
all kinds of creating and design, and is currently preparing to show
her most recent collage works at the Feves Gallery.
Nika Blasser is an interdisciplinary artist who works with a wide
range of materials including drawing, painting, photography, video
and installation. She has an MFA in Drawing and Intermedia (2013)
from the University of Alberta in Canada, and has a Bachelor’s in
Painting, Drawing and Printmaking (2004), from Portland State

Kim Chavez is a youth educator working on a degree in
Early Childhood Education. New to the area, Kim began
volunteering at the Arts Center in 2014 and started teaching art
classes shortly after.
Arlen Clark is a self-taught painter producing works for nearly
40 years. He uses bright colors, exaggeration, distortion and
imagination to express his ideas.
Erica Edwards is a native of California and a lover of Oregon.
She enjoys teaching classes, reading and all things art.
Mike Dinkel teaches Robotics at Pendleton High School and leads
several of the competitive robotics and engineering teams.
Mike Kellison is a member of the Oregon Music Teachers
Association and the Music Teachers National Association. After
receiving a Bachelor of Music degree from Eastern Oregon
University with a focus in Jazz and Commercial music for the
guitar, he now lives in Hermiston where he teaches private music
lessons on guitar, piano, and bass.
Kristen Parr is an enrolled Cayuse and Walla Walla member of
the CTUIR. She has worked as a Language Instructor/Apprentice
for the last 11.5 years at the CTUIR Language Program.
Bill Peal has been an avid photographer and teacher for the last
decade, after a long career teaching agricultural science. His
photographic work reveals a reverence for our regional landscape
and through teaching he gets to share his love and knowledge of
the region with others.
Kate Peck has worked in the Early Childhood Education field in
some form or another for the past 22 years. She currently shares
her time working here at the Arts Center as the Outreach Manager
and coordinating various community events that advocate strong
and healthy youth and families. She is a firm believer in the saying
by George Bernard Shaw, “We don’t stop playing because we grow
old; we grow old because we stop playing.”
Marie Pratuch learned pottery from Michael Booth at BMCC, and
is now ready to share her talents with others. Check out Marie’s

Scarlett Reagan is a senior in high school and an artist who has
been working with the pottery wheel for a number of years. She like
to explore different styles and techniques on the wheel, and has
been teaching peers for the last year at Hermiston High School.
Lori Sams received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Studio Art with
an emphasis in Ceramics from Chico State University in northern
California. She has called Pendleton home since 2010. She serves
as the Director of the Betty Feves Memorial Gallery at BMCC and
loves being involved with the local arts scene.
Peg Willis has taught music for over 50 years and has directed
several groups, including The Pick ‘n’ Bow Company, Shenanigans
(Morrow County), Mulligan Stew, and Poverty Flat. Her groups
have performed extensively around the region and as far away as
Washington DC and Ireland. Peg enjoys fiber arts (knitting, cross
stitching, weaving) and has written several books.
