The Hilanders made it to the 2A state tournament last year and finished with a sixth place trophy. Page 5C Riverside Pirates Umatilla Vikings he Eastern Oregon League was a two-horse race last season, with the Nyssa Bulldogs earning their third- straight league title and the upstart Riverside Pirates clinching the league’s second postseason spot. This season should be filled with more excitement, though, as the league adds Burns and Irrigon to the mix. Both the Hilanders and Knights were playoff teams in Class 2A last season and should make it an interesting race to pick up the EOL’s two automatic postseason berths this season.
