The caller also said the co-worker told others he would punch the caller in the face. 7:57 a.m. - Milton-Freewater police received reports of someone slashing tires on the 200 block of Northeast Eighth Avenue, Milton-Freewater. 9:26 a.m. - A male at Safeway, 203 S.W. 20th St., Pendleton, tried to throw a rock at a person in a wheel- chair. That person called 9-1-1, and the thrower took off in a green Jeep Cherokee. 9:56 a.m. - A Pendleton man on Northwest Eighth Street reported his neighbor using his trash can. 9:57 a.m. - Law enforcement responded to a 9-1-1 call at North Townsend and East Punkin Center roads, Hermiston, about a male and female swinging bats at each other. 10:33 a.m. - The Morrow County Sheriff’s Office responded to Cottage Creek Apartments, 160 N. Chase St., Heppner, after a woman said her neighbor yelled at her dog and her and threatened her significant other. Deputies warned the woman for having a dog that is a public nuisance. 10:53 a.m. - Two females burglarized a man’s house on Northwest 11th St., Hermiston. 3:17 p.m. - A Hermiston woman asked to speak to police about harassing text messages she’s been receiving. 4:02 p.m. - A Hermiston business identified who stole its gas card and racked up more than $6,100 in charges. 4:04 p.m. - A man in Umatilla called 9-1-1 and reported a male pulled a gun on him. 4:30 p.m. - A Hermiston woman living at Eldorado Apartments, 245 N.W. 11th St., reported a male who makes her feel uncomfortable followed her to the back of the building while she walked her dog and took photos of her dog. 4:53 p.m. - Hermiston police received a report of a male trying to sell passports and other items outside Home Depot, 300 W. Harper Road, Hermiston. Officers did not find the seller. 4:54 p.m. - Pendleton police received a call to check on the welfare of a male who could be suffering delusions of police surrounding him. 7:05 p.m. - A member of a church on West Hermiston Avenue, Hermiston, reported a woman in a van on nearby Fifth Street has her music so loud “they can’t even pray in peace.” The caller also said the woman accosts people for money, yells and screams at people. 8:23 p.m. - A Pendleton woman on Northwest Fifth Street reported her back door flew open, she closed it, and it opened again. She said she suspected someone was trying to break in but she did not see anyone. 9:11 p.m. - Staff at Eastern Oregon Correctional Institution, Pendleton, told law enforcement that an armed escort would transport a “category 5 inmate” to St. Anthony Hospital, Pendleton. Surrounded by his loving family, Ronald M. Fagg passed from this life as a result of a hemorrhagic stroke on October 18. Ron was born on October 26, 1944, in Rupert, Idaho, to Ronald M. Fagg Jr. and Gladyce Arndt Fagg. He was a familiar face at the family grocery store where he worked throughout high school. He gradu- ated from Minico in 1963 and went on to graduate from the College of Idaho and earn a degree in physical therapy from Washington University in St. Fagg Louis. He served as a therapist at the Elks Rehabilitation Center in Boise and St. Anthony Hospital in Pendleton. He started a private practice in Pendleton, which he operated for 30 years. Most recently he made his home in Ukiah, Ore. Ron was active in many organizations including being Master Counselor for DeMolay, past president of the Pendleton Main Street Cowboys, a member of the Oregon Trail Snowmobile Club, OPTA, and working with the Justin Sports Medi- cine van. He greatly enjoyed the outdoors and enjoyed sharing it with friends and family. He also enjoyed City League Basketball, fishing, and RVing. He was indeed gifted at scroll saw work and made many artistic pieces for others. The most important thing to Ron was taking care of his family. Ron is survived by his loving wife Donna of Ukiah; son Mike Ford (Melinda Franklin) of Texas; daughters Shawna Smith (and Kalib Sumter) of Redding, Calif., Brenda Gregg (and Sante Espinoza) of Virginia, and Jennifer Pearson (and Scott Maricle) of Idaho. Ron has one brother, Rand, of Rupert, Idaho, and five grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that dona- tions be made to Ukiah Senior Center or Ukiah Quick Response, Ukiah, OR 97880.
