Page 6A COMMUNITY East Oregonian Tuesday, July 19, 2016 Buttercreek Boys strum old favorites at Hermiston Elks Lodge By TAMMY MALGESINI East Oregonian Staff photo by Tammy Malgesini The Buttercreek Boys (Lou Reeves, Wynn Weston, Curt Clauton, Rusty Roe, Tom Watkins and Jim Simp- son) perform the second Wednesday of each month at the Chuckwagon Cafe, Hermiston. On the other Wednesdays, Roe and Reeves play as a duo at the Hermiston Elks Lodge. Rusty Roe and Lou Reeves, a duo from the Buttercreek Boys, will perform weekly at the Herm- iston Elks Lodge. The pair plays music of the ’50s and ’60s. In addition, Roe said they play country hits and a little bit of everything else while taking requests during the evening perfor- mances. The music is Wednesdays (except the second Wednesday of each month) from 6-8 p.m. “We’ll play even longer if people are still dancing and enjoying themselves,” Roe said. The Elks Lodge is located at 480 E. Main St., Hermiston. Roe and Reeves also will perform Friday, Aug. 12. Jim Voss of the Elks said members and guests are welcome. Voss wants to especially extend an invitation to former members of the Hermiston Eagles Lodge.
