Grave- side services will be held Saturday, June 18, 2016, at 10 a.m. at Olney Cemetery in Pendleton. A potluck lunch and memorial service will follow at Commu- nity Park. Don was born to Ethel and Myron C. “Bud” Burrows Sr. on February 2, 1947, in Bend, Ore., the middle of eight children. The Burrows family moved from Oregon to Weippe, Idaho, in 1952 where Don Burrows attended school. He returned to Oregon in 1965 where he has remained until his death. Don worked at several businesses in Pendleton, including Harris Pine Mills, Kube’s Car Wash and Riverside Nursery. He was WKHRI¿FLDOEHOOULQJHUIRUSUR wrestling at the Pendleton Armory for many years. Don and companion Rachel Orton also sold fruit out of their pickup for many years. They enjoyed visiting with their customers. He loved hunting and ¿VKLQJ DQG ZRXOG go as often as possible. He loved the outdoors. Don was preceded in death by his parents; brothers Myron C. “Buddy” Burrows Jr., Mark S. Burrows and Chester Lloyd “Sonny” Burrows; and sister Lois Norris. He is survived by longtime companion Anna Rachel Orton of Pendleton; sisters Nancy Ward of Mars Hill, Maine, and Lola Burrows of Pendleton; and brother Michael Burrows of Pendleton. Donald “Donny” Ivan Briggs was born in La Grande, Oregon, on January 30, 1941, to Raymond and Ada Briggs. Raised in Pilot Rock and Pendleton, Donny enjoyed hunting, ¿VKLQJ FDPSLQJ and cars. In 1962 he married and had a son, Ronald Eugene, then married again in 1969 and had a daughter, Phyllis Briggs Marie. He then spent the last 26 years with wife Terri and took on the father role to four daughters, Dayle Stinson, Jody Lemon, Bobbi Lemon and Rebal Lemon, along with a son they adopted, Anthony. He was very fond of his kids DQGJDYHXQVHO¿VKO\WRPDQ\ family and friends. Donny began working at odd jobs at a young age. He had a love of cars and eventually learned how to ¿[ DQG UHEXLOG WKHP DQG LQ the ensuing years became a IXOOÀHGJHG DXWR PHFKDQLF He spent 30 years working in local wrecking yards and was D ¿[WXUH KHUH LQ 3HQGOHWRQ at all the parts stores, auto body shops, and junk yards. He was a member of the Elks, Eagles, and Main Street Cowboys.
