A company employee tried to talk to the male, who responded with yelling profanities. The employee then called for law enforcement. •A man in Athena at 9 a.m. reported his dog on Monday bled through the mouth and nose and then died. He said he thinks someone poisoned his pet and wanted to talk to a Umatilla County sheriff’s deputy. •A Pendleton resident at 9:14 a.m. reported someone broke into her car at Homestead Apartments, 516 N.W. The caller was concerned this vehicle could be stolen. •A caller from a second-hand furniture store in Pendleton told police at 1:43 p.m. a man claimed the store sold his items, which were stolen from his residence.
