Makes SfiOfrOO nn Booze: Bootlegger Now "Broke' - DENVER, April 15--r-Frank Conley, notorious Denver whisky-runner and bootlegger, who Is reputed to have made JS0.00U in the last, two years In the Illegal whiskey traffic, is broke. Friday morning when arraigned in police court before Judge Henry Bary on a charge of vagrancy. Conley was unable to pay a fine of 1200 which the courts imposed upon him. In a statement to the court, Conley admitted having been a whisky-runner and told the court he had made con siderable money, which had been dissi pated In fighting charges of bootleg ging brought against him. . . When It was found Conley could not pay his fine, he proposed to the court that the fine be suspended and that he be permitted lo leave town.
