Oct. 13. Apples plucked from the oldest apple tree on the Pacific coatn, In Vancou- ver Barracks, have been sent to the department of agriculture by A. A. Quarnberg. ex-horticulture inspector of, this district. This famous tree is almost M years old and produced a I fair crop of apples this year.
