Run of cattle In the local yards over Sunday was aulte fair and was a strong ,contrast to the very amall showing of last Monday. WALLA WALLA, Dec. 22 Although the temperature for the past week has been consid erably below normal, the fall sown wheat of the Walla Walla valley Is suffering none, and has gone through the toughen ing process In excellent shape, according to the farmers. The little snow that has fallen has served, In a measure to protect the plants, but the freeze has not been severe enough to do any damage. The growers state they prefer continued cold weather to alternating warm and cold.
