In color It Is Just what Its name Implies; a radiant yellow. A bunch of the new Irish roses in full bloom and in the bud. looks like tongues and bursts of flame coming up from a verdant field. A New York grower who had seen the Fire-flame roses near Belfast ordered 20,000 plants sent to his place. From the Killarney rose, also an Irish product, two hybrids have been put on the market by a Pennsylvania grower.- One of these hybrids called the Killarney Queen, Is considered one of the most perfect white roses ever produced. The other, which Is new this season, Is a beautiful soft red and Id known as the Red Killarney. I Veils Now Often Discarded. Veils are very much less worn than they used to be In past seasons. They are less easy to wear with very small hats, for the simple reason that they may easily touch the eyes or at least the eyelashes; but, since the extreme ly small hat is specially reserved for j the very young woman, she may well! permit herself to meet the full gare of daylight In the street without any softening veil. Besides this, some hy gienic people pretend that the veil Is harmful both to the complexion and the sight, and while It Is also true that the contrary opinion is held the devotee of fashion will follow her own personal opinion without bothering her head about any other. Paris Edition of New York Herald. J COTTON CREPE FROCK. The drawing above shows a charm ing frock of white cotton crepe, cluny lace and striped eponge. March 21. That the eyesight and even the life, of every Walla Walla boy who owns a .22 rifle is In imminent danger, was the statement of a Walla Walla deal er In sporting goods who has had a lifetime of experience with all cali bres of firearms. "The .22 is really a useful little gun," he said, "and it is possible to buy a rifle with all safety devices found on any model. The danger lies, not in the rifle, but in the cartridge. There Is no gun made in which a cheaply constructed cartridge may be constructed with safety to the shoot er. "Because the .22 is a small ciliber and therefore considered unimportant from a sporting standpoint, manufac turers must turn them out cheaply. The copper shells, rlmfire, such as are commonly used, are of the cheapest material, as bullets. Usually a good grade of powder Is used. When ex ploding in the chamber, oftentimes small mits of the soft copper shells are sent through channies in the rifle and one of the best shots in the Unit ed States lost the sight of one eye, re cently through such an occurrence. The expert in question used the best make of gun how much more, then, is the danger to the boys who are compelled to use an unreliable and cheap make? "While the .22 Is considered the safer gun because of its shorter range, I would much rather see the boys use the next larger caliber, the .32, in hunting squirrels and in tar get practice." USE SAOE TEA TO RESTORE NATURAL COLOR OF HAIR Says Sage and Sulphur Darkens Hair Beautifully and Ends Dandruff. Hair that loses Its color and lustre, or when It fades, turns gray, dull and lifeless Is caused by lack of sulphur In the hair, says a well-known local pharmacist Our grandmother made up a mixture of Sage Tea and Sul phur to keep her locks dark and beautiful and even today this simple preparation has no equal. Millions of women and men too,- who value that even color, that beautiful dark shade of hair which is so attractive use only Sage Tea and Sulphur. Nowadays we are not bothered with the task of gathering the sage leaves and the mussy mixing at home. Simp ly ask at any drug store for a BO cent bottle of the ready to use preparation. called "Wyeth's Sage and Sulphur Hair Remedy." Customers like thla best because It darkens so naturally; so evenly, that nobody can possibly tell it has been applied. Besides, it contains ingredients which take . .off dandruff, stop scalp Itching and fall ing hair. No, It isn't a dye or even like it. You Just dampen a sponge or soft brush with "Wyeth's Sage and Sulphur" and draw It through your hair .taking one small strand at a time. By morning the gray hair dis appears; after another application or two it is restored to its natural col or. What delights the ladles with Wy eth's Page and Sulphur is that besides beautifully darkening the hair they say it brings back the gloss and lus tre and gives It an appearance of abundance.
