Herr, one of our ranchers who raises choice fruit, has sent a box of peaches to the Yukon exposition. It took 23 peaches to fill the box. Mrs. Shaw, an elderly lady living with her son, William Shaw, a short distance from town while walking aoout in the yard, stumbled and fell, hurting her spine very seriously. The Commercial club is asking the telephone company for a new ex change for Freewater. This move ment Is to meet the requirements of the growing business north of this city, which Is bound to develop still more rapidly as the country is brought under Irrigation. The story deals with the trial of the Christians who for their be lief were prosecuted by Xero and his followers. Miss Harper as the character of Lygla has a great scope for fine act ing, and her support for this season Is of the best, having a number of her old people with her that assures a smooth performance. The man agenvnt of Miss Harper has gone to a great expense to feature this play and will give a complete scenic pro. Auction. The play is In seven acts all In set tines historically correct which, to gether with pretty costumes, will make this one of the best ever seen on the local stage at these prices. Other plays to be presented during Miss Harper's engagement here will be "St 11 fiwynne," "Lady of Quality,' "Trilby" "Mysterious Mr. Bugle, "Little Minister" and a grand revival of the great favorite.
