Under the last system each "dish" was 5 cents; under the new regime the pupils may get three for 10 cents. It Is arranged that for 10 cents a pupil must take some nourishing food, such as a bowl of soup, a sand wich and a piece of pie or cake or some kind of fruit. Xo one can get three pieces of pie or cake or such a combination for 10 cents. Pupils get extra service at 5 cents each. Rhine, recent comers to North Yakima, was drowned about noon oday In the Irri gation ditch which flows past his home near the fair grounds, says a Yakima report. How the accident happened is not known. The little body was found by the mother lying at the bottom of the ditch shortly af ter she began a search for the little fellow, whom she had missed. It is believed that the child fell from a small bridge or walk which crosses the water In front of the house.
