SHls-Kioto Show Will Appear n Pen diet on In One Week A Western Institution Los Angeles Paier9 Kiieak In Highest Terms of Perform ance Large Crowds Witness Won lerful AeroTiatlc Stunts. The big Sella-FIoto shows are com ing to Pendleton May 30, and as this wealthy western institution does not belong to the circus trust, will posi tively give the usual street parade. Moreover, the agents have positive or ders never to mlsripresent a single Item or feature. The entire enterprise Is built on honest endeavor to give. every one his money's worth. A child can attend alone, present a $10 bill ' at the ticket wagon and receive the correct change. No "privilege car" Is carried by the Sells-Floto manage ment, a device conceived to absorb the performers' and working men's money In gambling and drinks. Neither do they permit their press a;ent to Indulge In adjectives galore while, in their enthusiasm, telling of the v;uit wonders the visitor is to be hold. As a check to any misrepresen tation the plan in vogue Is to repro duce, without alteration or alliteration the reprint from well known conser vative newspapers their own criticisms of the how. The Los Angeles Exam iner, well known for Its honesty and falrress, says: "It has been said that when you see one circus you see all circuses, mean ing that they are alike. This may be true of the general run of such enter tainments. There may be bigger com panies on the road, there may be some with more canvas tents, more lemon ade venders, more sellers of popcorn and palm leaf fans, but certainly there la none with a greater variety of wholesome entertainment. The Sells Floto show Is called "the circus beau tiful." If an entirely clean perform ance If spick and span wagons, atten tive employes, courtesy to the public an 1 eompllance with all the advance promises made a "circus beautiful," then the Sells-Floto combination la en titled to the description. The big tent was filled to Its ca- COFFEE You can buy something called "coffee" at 10c lb with 3000 miles of R R freight from the roaster; don't Tow irscsrrstsras row H r eoel tks Scbiliisr1! The me nagerie is complete and the program contains about everything that la worth seeing In the circus line. A special feature Is made of the trained animals, the acrobats and the clowns and all of them are excellent. "Specially notable is the perform ance of the five Potters, a .family of acrobats that surpasses anything in its line ever seen here. The double twisting somersault done by the Pot ters in the air while swinging from one trapeze to another, and various other feats were real novelties. "In addition there were remarkable slack wire performances by the fa mous Alpine family that accomplish entirely new and dangerous feats. The trained animals were all good and the clowns, of whom there were some thirty odd, bept the audience In an uproar of laughter with their antics. "The Sells-Floto show 'won a home for Itself,' as the saying goes, some time ago In these parts. Its enlarged successor promises to more than keep up the good work. "A big crowd turned out to the closing performance last night and J everybody went away satisfied, the notable feature being the uniform po liteness with which the employes from the highest to the lowest, treated their patrons." One of the features of today's ses sion, rendered especially noteworthy by the attendance of representatives of several Indian tribes, was the re port of the committee on work among the Indians. Addresses on this topic were made by some of the redskin delegates. The session this evening will be de voted to a discussion of the report of the committee on work among Spanish-speaking people. Addresses will be made by the Rev. Alexander Turn bull of New York on "The Mexican People of the Southwest;" the Rev. George H. Brown of the City of Mexi co, on "The Awakening of Mexico;" Dr. J. B. Thomas of Illinois, on "What We Found In Porto Rico," and Dr. H. B. Grose of New York, on "Mission ary Work In Cuba." $100 Reward. $100. . Junior colleelate elght-oared shells. Although the stewards make no nnr- tlcular race the feature of their nro- gram, the splendid turn out each year for the Junior collegiate elght-oared race has made this event the most exciting of the day. Last year there were four starters, Yale, Cornell, Pennsylvania and Georgetown. Har vard was entered for the race, but rowed Instead In another event. The eligibility rules for this race will be the same ns heretofore. Only those oarsmen who have never sat In a varsity boat at pnughkeepsle or New London are eligible. This race Is becoming more popular every year because It affords racing experience to the green oarsmen who otherwise would get none until they made a varsity boat. Outside of Pennsylvania, which al ways has four crews In the regatta. Harvard and Yale will be best rep resented, each with two eights. Har vard has been sending two crews for several years and Yale men were so well pleased with the double victory of their crew a year ago that they will send down two crews tomorrow. In order tha the regatta may be run off on schedule time It has been de cided to pursue the double referee system which this association Inaug urated at Its first regatta. The two referees will he Hugh Cabot of Bos ton and William Innes Forbes of Philadelphia. Hotel St. George. W. R. Bryan, Boise; John B. Saw yer. D. H. Tape, Portland: J. W. Fox. Hanfonl. Wash.; L. H. WAS WITH ECZEMA On Chest, Back, and Head Pain, Heat, and Tingling Were excru ciating Nerves in Exhausted Condition Sleep Badly Broken. CURE BY CUTICURA SEEMED LIKE MAGIC "Words cannot express the gratitude) I feel for what Cutlcura Remedies have) done tor my daugh ter, Adelaide, bho is fifteen years of age, and had never bad anything the matter witn ner ekin until four months ago, when an eruption broke out on her chest. The first svmntom was a redness, and then followed thicken ing and blisters, which would break and run matter. I took her to a doctor, and ho pronounced It to be eczema of a very bad form. He treated berf but Instead of being checked, the disease spread. It showed it' If on her back, and then quickly spread upwards until the whole of her head was affected, and all her hair had to be cut off. The pain she suffered was excruciating, and what with that and the heat and tin gling her life was almost unbearable. She became run down in health, and at times was very feverish, languid, and drowsy, and occasionally she was de lirious. Her nerves were in such a low state that she could not bear to be left alone. In spite of the cold weather she would insist on having her bedroom window open, and would lean out on the window-sill. She did not have a proper hour's sleep for many nights. The second doctor we tried afforded her Jtist as little relief as the first, and I really do not know what we should have done if we had not read how Cuticura cured a similar case. I pur chased Cuticura Soap, Cuticura Oint ment, and Cuticura Pills, and before the Ointment was three-quarters finished every trace of the disease was gone. It really seemed like magic. Iler hair is coming on nicely, and I still apply tho Cuticura Ointment as I find it increases the growth wonder fully. Mrs. T. W.
