Qnlnney. Pendleton commandery No. 7 and the Baker city commandery of the Knights Templar, will join with the Church of the Redeemer In the cele bration of Easter In this city on Sun day, April 19. Elaborate programs have been arranged for the day and a large number of visiting Knights are expected. There will be early Easter service on Easter morning at 7 o'clock In ad dition to the regular forenoon and evening services and at 2:30 p. m. the Knights Templar service will be held. At 4 p. m there will be a pub lic baptism. The church services will be con ducted by Rev. Charles Qulnney, rec tor of the Church of the Redeemer, while Pendleton commandery, will have charge of the Knights Templar service. All of the Easter offerings taken at the Church of the Redeemer will be devoted to the rectory fund to be applied to the erection of the new rectory for the church. The Utah letter, which contain some very pointed things upon the subject of wool price, la as follows: Salt Lake City, Utah. March 16, 1908 Dear Sir: The executive board of the Utah Woolgrowers, after consul tatlon with the leading woolgrowers of Utah, Wyoming and Idaho, deem it advisable to notify all the wool growers of the inter-mountaln region In relation to the present condition of the wool market. You are fully aware that there la a general business depression over the whole country; especially in Indus trial lines. Tills waa caused by the recent financial panic. The money market Is now clearing up and Is much better In the east. At present there Is a tendency to bear the wool market and thereby cause sheepmen to accept ruinous prices for their coming clip. After careful Investi gation, we advise woolgrowers at the present time, not to accept a lower figure than two cents per pound less than was paid for their clips last year. Under no circumstances, In our opinion, should woolgrowers consign their wool to eastern markets and wait for a raise In prices. The his tory of the past Is conclusive that the consigning of wool breaks the market in the east and the consign or, nine times out of 10, is the loser and seldom realizes more than the consignment advance. If we are going to hold our wool at all. it should be held In the west If the sheepmen will unite and keep posted on market conditions, there is no question but what they will realize fair prices this season. The shearing season will commence In parts of our state in about two weeks; before selling your clip, It will be to your advantage to keep posted and advice with the office of this company. Our organization will keep fully posted in regard to conditions and will advise Its stlckholders upon request either by wire or letter as to the condition of the wool market. We think It very essential that all woolgrowers combine In keeping themselves well posted in regard to future conditions of the wool mar ket, as well as heir other interests. THE UTAH WOOLGROWERS. Utah Woolgrowers Urge Against Ac cepting Low Pricm At the meeting of the evecutive enmmlttee of the state woolgrowers' association yesterday the subject of wool prices was a vital topic ana it was brought before the meeting by a communication from the Utah wool erowers' association. Landers of Pen dleton public schools, and a large number of teachers from the west end of the county. The male quartet of this city, com posed of Professors Welles and Lan ders and A. J. Owens and M. L. Ak- ers entertained the institute wltn a number of excellent selections. The Judges were Colonel James n. nw nnd Rev. W. L. Van Nuys of this city, and Judge Hepneke of Spo kane, and the decision was two to one in fvor of Pullman. Ex-Oovernor Miles H. Moore presided at the debate which was largely attended and nign ly enjoyed.
