This funding and partnership will help ensure that sexual assault survivors have 24/7 access to trau- ma-informed, confidential forensic and medical ex- ams, including access to medical providers that speak Spanish, and LGBTQIA+ affirming care,” said Terri Steenbergen, Executive Director of The Harbor. Legacy Health Offers Free Monkeypox Vaccination Clinic on Saturday, Sept. 24 VANCOUVER, Wash. — This Saturday, Sept. 24, Leg- acy is offering a free monkeypox vaccination clinic at our Legacy Medical Group Family Wellness. Legacy is following guidelines set by the U.S. Centers for Dis- ease Control and Prevention and is only able to offer the vaccine to people who fit the guidelines as high- risk patients. “It’s important that we use all the tools at our dis- posal to slow the progression of monkeypox virus infections in our communities,” said Nick Kashey, M.D. Clinical Vice President of Population Health for Legacy Health. “Legacy Health is proud to offer an op- portunity for our high-risk community members and neighbors to get vaccinated against monkeypox this weekend.” High-risk patients are defined by the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention as: • Gay, bisexual, and other men or trans people who have sex with men, who have had more than one sexual partner in the past 14 days. • Sex workers of any sexual orientation or gender identity. • Persons who have had close contact within the past 14 days with someone with suspected or confirmed monkeypox. • Persons who had close contact with others at a ven- ue or event or within a social group in the past 14 days where a suspected or confirmed monkeypox case was identified. If any of the above apply to a patient who is at least 18 years old, they can schedule their vaccination now at https://legacyhealth.org/mpv/. Anyone who can’t schedule online can book an appointment by calling 503-415-4800 between 8:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. The Oregon Moms for Addiction Recovery Has a Team for the Portland Walk for Recovery on September 24th We’re excited to take to the streets again to cele- brate recovery and demand an end to the addiction crisis.
