Marine Dr. PHOTO BY SUSAN FRIED Seattle THURSDAY, FEBRUARY 11 23rd Avenue Corridor Business owners and neighbors along the 23rd Avenue corridor in Seattle met with City Council member Kshama Sawant to discuss how the city plans on mitigating the concerns they have about the effect of ongoing road construction on their businesses. The city is trying to work with the businesses by adjusting the construction schedule slightly, helping with marketing assistance and improving signage. Many of the businesses feel this is not enough and met with Sawant to discuss cash relief or what other remedies might be available to them.
