23rd Avenue Corridor
Business owners and neighbors along the 23rd Avenue corridor in Seattle met with City Council member Kshama Sawant to discuss
how the city plans on mitigating the concerns they have about the effect of ongoing road construction on their businesses. The city is
trying to work with the businesses by adjusting the construction schedule slightly, helping with marketing assistance and improving
signage. Many of the businesses feel this is not enough and met with Sawant to discuss cash relief or what other remedies might be
available to them.

City departments, community groups, and resi-
dents across Seattle are hosting work parties, special
events, and open houses this Saturday, February 14 to
celebrate Neighbor Appreciation Day.
You can participate in any of the events below or
simply invite your neighbor for coffee. For infor-
