News Project Dayshoot + 30 Ashwaq Hussein getting off the nightshift Peninsula Park Girls Make Hearts On July 15, 1983 more than 90 photographers spread out across Oregon to capture a visual record of our state. The event was recorded in an exhibit for the Oregon Historical Society and a book called One Average Day. This week some of those same photographers joined other photographers and videographers to celebrate the 30th anniversary of Project Dayshoot by repeating their feat. More than 100 people took part in Project Dayshoot+30, including The Skanner News’ multimedia editor Helen Silvis. Here are some of The Skanner News Dayshoot+30 photographs, taken at the Urban League’s Senior Center, Rockwood MAX station, the Rockwood Boys and Girls Club; North Killingsworth Street and Peninsula Park.
