On July 15, 1983 more than 90 photographers spread out across Oregon
to capture a visual record of our state. The event was recorded in an exhibit
for the Oregon Historical Society and a book called One Average Day. This
week some of those same photographers joined other photographers and
videographers to celebrate the 30th anniversary of Project Dayshoot by
repeating their feat. More than 100 people took part in Project
Dayshoot+30, including The Skanner News’ multimedia editor Helen Silvis.
Here are some of The Skanner News Dayshoot+30 photographs, taken at
the Urban League’s Senior Center, Rockwood MAX station, the Rockwood
Boys and Girls Club; North Killingsworth Street and Peninsula Park. Thank you
to everyone who took part.
