Local News COMMUNITY NEWS BRIEFS Healthcare Events for Immigrant Families, Local Community The African Partnership for Health (APH) and OHSU’s Global Health Cen- ter hosts four free health clinics at Lutheran Community Services North- west. Faculty and student representatives from the four OHSU schools and the Casey Eye Institute will provide med- ical, dental and vision screenings for low-income, uninsured refugees, immi- grants and community members. They will check eyes and vision, teeth and mouth, blood pressure, provide brown- bag medicine checks and provide referrals for free or low cost medical follow up. Participants should bring all of their medications with them to the clinic. The clinics will take place on four Saturdays this spring. The clinics will run from 10am-2pm on April 14, April 28, May 5 and May 19, at Lutheran Community Services, 605 SE Cesar E. To join a TGIF party, students should bring their 2011 IRS tax returns, 2011 end-of-year pay stubs (if tax returns are not yet completed), current value of assets, social security number (and those of their parents if student is a dependent), driver’s license and alien registration card (if applicable).
