The City of Portland seeks to hire an inde- pendent hearings officer under a professional services contract to pre- side over a potentially complex tax enforce- ment administrative pro- ceeding commencing in the first half of 2012. A successful candidate must be member of the Oregon State Bar, should have substantial experience in complex litigation, from discovery through trial, as well as demonstrated expertise in the proper interpreta- tion and application of statutes.
