There will be picnic facilities, a children's amuse ment park (with rides limited to those that would have been possible at the turn of the century, such as a small fcrris wheel connected to a stream driven water wheel) and a string of mock-up logging operations, depicting various methods of harvesting timber in the early days of the logging industry. Then, In sue cession, they will be taken via horse-drawn and ox-drawn wag ons through areas depicting the early logging operations. In total, there are to be 45 dummy men shown in typical logging work, 14 dummy horses and 15 dummy oxen. The entire operation probably will be open to the public only five months out of the year starting in May, said Flint. Flint, 40, is a native of Ore gon and has been a resident oC Lane County for three years. He lives in Coburg with his wife, Yvonne, and their three daugh ters. Before entering the re modeling business in Spring field, he was in the same busi ness in Roseburg for five years, and before that was a cabinet maker in Los Angeles for eight years. Equipment Already On Hand He said ho formed the idea of such a development in Ore gon after visiting Knott's Berry Farm in Los Angeles, where an old-time mining camp replica has been built. Most of the equipment to be used in the logging displays al ready has been acquired, he said, and is now being moved to the site. Whether the total development can be readied in time for next summer's tourist season will depend on financing arrangements, he said. Should that prove a stumbling block, he said, the development might take another five years to complete. Hoot Gibson Buried INGLEWOOD, Calif.
