Prepare for Roundup An extensive program of change and improvement in the rodeo arena at Pioneer Park be gan last weekend when crews of Jaycees and city police started volunteering their time as car penters. The work is being done in preparation for the third annual Emerald Empire Roundup, sched uled for Aug. 5-7. The renovation is designed to improve the salcly, seating ca pacity and convenience of the rodeo arena. The calf chutes, now situated at the cast end of the arena, will be torn out and rebuilt at the west end. The cast end of the grounds will be entirely closed in with high tiers of general admis sion seats. The new bleachers will add at least 1500 scats. New heavy fence posts will be set in an arc from the bucking chutes around in front of all gen eral admission sections. New sturdy fencing, reinforced with wire cable, will be installed. A new six foot gate will bo built at the west end.
