Miss Barnes is a student at Oregon State College, where she, is a member of Pi Beta Phi sor ority. Mr. Watson is the son of Mr. and Mrs. C. I. Watson of Sun- Jiyvale, Calif. He is attending San Jose State College and is affiliat ed with Lambda Chi Alpha frater nity. The young couple has set June 27 for their wedding date. They plan to continue their stud ies at San Jose State College. Mr. and Mrs. A. A. Vitale of I Dcrry, Pa., announce the engage ment of their daughter, Gene Rose, to Thomas E. Watkins. Miss Vitale, a physical therapist, is em ployed at the Orthopaedic and Fracture Clinic and Mr. Watkins is depot agent for the local Rail way Express Agency. Welfare League Apportions Funds to Several Projects IStyle Show To Depict Life Eras "Through the Years" Is the theme of the fashion show to be presented by Jaycee-ettes Satur day at a luncheon which will be highlighted by announcement of the winner of the "outstanding Young Woman of the Year' award. The luncheon will take place at Eugene High School Cafeteria, starting at 12:30 p.m. The revue will show fashions from childhood to maturity. Fash ions from Kaufman Brothers will be modeled by Mrs. James Ander son. Mrs. Louis Bonson, Mrs. Grant Chase, Mrs. William Heinke, Mrs. Wade Dyer, Mrs. Thomas Engle, Mrs. Paul Lansdowne, Mrs, Eldon Lee, Mrs. Robert Lovell, Mrs. James Matthews, Mrs. Tryge Vik, Mrs. George Mattox, Mrs. Finis Montgomery, Mrs. Edwin F. Actual proceeds of the fashion show were a little less than $400. but the dif ference will be made up out of the League treasury. Members al so voted to give $100 to the Eu gene symphony; $180 will be given to the Pearl Buck School to keep one retarded child in school for the remaining months of this school year.
