Wedded Couple Goes to Canada Heavy while satin, made In princess stylo with sweetheart neckline and long train, fashioned Ihc dress which Miss Lorctta Hubcr wore for her marriage to Itobert Lee Cook Sept. 15 at 1 p.m., in St. Mary's Catholic Church. With It she wore a veil falling from a sweetheart crown ornamented with seed pearls, and carried red roses with white or chids. Mr: and Mrs. Alfred A. Huber of Mt. Angel are parents of the bride and Mr. and Mrs. William A. Cook of Eugene arc the bride groom's parents. White Ester Read daisies dec orated the church for the cere mony, which was performed by the Rev. Father Basil, O.S.B. Mr. Huber escorted his daughter. Maid of honor, Miss Virginia Ebncr, wore an ankle-length dress in orchid shade, made with Peter Pan collar, puffed sleeves and big sash. She carried white Ester Read daisies. Miss Joyce Susec and Miss Barbara Ann Huber, both of Mt. Angel, were the bridesmaids, the former in yellow, the latter in blue. Both carried while daisies. Their dresses were made like that of the honor at tendant. Miss Huber is the sister of the bride. Twin brother and sister of the bride, Leona and Leonard, were flower girl and ring bearer . Richard A. Cook, brother of the groom, was best man and ushers were Roy Solcim and Dean Quam. At the reception in Columbus Hall, Mrs. Roy Alexander cut the cake, Miss Virginia Shorcy and Miss Rosemary Torran served punch and Miss Shirley Cameron passed the guest book. Gifts were opened by Miss Eleanor Starr. The last four arc student nurses at Sacred Heart Hospital, as is the bride. For traveling to Canada, the bride wore with her traveling costume a while coat and black velvet accessories. She wore a white orchid corsage. MRS. JAMES V. TON Ell (Gwendo lyn Fern Haines) is a recent bride, now at home at 1315 High St., while her husband Is attending Uni versity of Oregon. The pair was married late in August here. Benedictine Abbott To Conduct Retreat For Catholic Women Catholic Daughters of America will conduct a "Day of Recollec tion," a one-day retreat open to all Catholic women in the vicin ity, at St. Mary's Catholic Church Sunday, Sept. 28. The Day will start wilh 8 a.m. Mass conducted by the Rt. Rev. Abbott Damien Jcntges of Mt. Angel. Miss Nancy M. linnrllo the bride of William J. Randle in a late August ceremony at Eb bcrt Memorial Methodist Church. Multi-colored gladiolus and rose buds, combined with blue can dles, decorated the church. Of ficiating clergyman was Dr. S. Raynor Smith, district superin tendent of Methodist churches. Mrs. H. L. Arnctt of Spring field and Edward A. Randle of Salem are parents of the bride. The bridegroom's parents are Mr. and Mrs. Edward 0. Randle of Eugene. Given by her father, the bride wore a gown of pale blue satin, made wilh fitted bodice and full two-tiered skirt caught up in scallop effect. Draped short sleeves, held in place by covered buttons, and small pointed stand up collar, completed the bodice detail. With the dress she wore mitts and a blue veil edged In white lace and falling from a lace tiara. She carried a handkerchief belonging to her maternal grand mother with a white Bible on which gladiolus, stephanotis and shattered blue carnations .were arranged against a background of blue net. Miss Patricia Randle of Salem, sister of the bride, was her maid of honor. She wore a dross of yellow marquisette made with lace yoke and full skirt, the front of which was draped in cascades over rows of lace. She carried a yellow net fan and pink gladi olus. The bridegroom's sister, Miss Lois Randle, was bridesmaid, her dress of pink made exactly like that of "the other attendant. Her pink net fan was ornamented with yellow gladiolus.
