The letter explained that there is already a big demand for projects to be handled through Federal Aid Secondary Road Funds. Sutherlin's project will be referred to the commission, but the letter gave little hope that it will be considered in the near future. Approval was given for trans fer of The Jug's club liquor license to Mr. and Mrs. Warren B. Wilson. Bollman was instructed to seek proposals for the annual auditing of the city books, to be undertaken in the near future. A committee composed of Clay Hensley, Marvin Parks and Lloyd Wood was appointed by the mayor to check deeper into bids received by the city Monday, regarding the purchase of a new fire truck for the city. Three bids were sub mitted by equipment firms. A proppsal to execute work for preparing a structure for the in stallation of new city water pumps from the United Builders was postponed until a meeting of the! council Monday, June 23, at which time it is expected that an agree- ment will be entered into by the ' city and the building firm for work required at the water de partment headworks.
