The bride, given in marriage by her father, wore a tan and beige gown of satin brocade with brown accessories and carried a bouquet of red roses. Her only attendant was her cousin, Miss Patricia Absher, in a gown of green organdy with an orchid corsage. O. A. Absher was best man and Wilbur Wiseman served as usher. Miss Kathryn Wiseman sang "I Love You Truly," accompanied by Mrs. Wilbur Wiseman, organ ist. At the reception at the home of the bride's parents following the ceremony, Mrs. F. H. Absher cut the cake and Mrs. Rowland Har ris, Mrs. Eula Absher and Mrs. A. H. Absher were In charge of the serving. Red, white and yel low carnations were used as dec oration and red and white candles were used on the bride's table which was centered with a three tiered wedding cake. The couple is now at home on Route 2, near Junction City. Both attended Junction City High School, the bride having made her home here with her grand parents, Mr. and Mrs. 0. A. Ab sher. Centering the bouquet were white orange blossoms and a miniature orange which her Spores and William Rennie ushered. The Rev. Ren Hollister offi ciated and special music was by Miss Jane Patterson, who sang "Because" and "The Lord's Prayer," with Miss Judy Ellel- grandmother had in the bouquet son at the organ. A cascade of lace trimmed the front of the skirt. Her veil was edged with lace in heart design and fell from a tiara of seed pearls. Mr. Wyant gave his daughter in mar riage. Miss Evangeline Robinson of Mohawk was maid of honor. She wore an ankle-length strapless frock of light lavender net over taffeta with net stole. Her ballerina slippers were in match ing color as was her headdress of braided satin and lace, worn high across the top of the head. She carried Talisman and yellow roses tied with a lavender bow. The three bridesmaids, Miss Betty Gloyne, Miss Margery Hol lister and Miss Glenda Gray, wore dresses made like that of the maid of honor. Miss Gloyne was in gold net over taffeta, Miss Hollister in medium blue and Miss Gray in bright fuchsia. They wore matching ballerina slippers and headdresses and carried Talisman roses tied with white. Richard Coghill was best man and Gordon Ware, William Miss Watts Bride Of Ernest Edwards Miss LaVerne Watts, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Victor W,. Watts of Eugene, was married Dec. 28 to Ernest J. Edwards of Lmslaw. His parents are Mr. and Mrs. E. J. Edwards of the latter place, j The ceremony was performed by the Rev. James H. Cornett, ; assistant pastor of First Chris tian Church of Eugene, in the 1 home Of Mr. and Mrs. William Tweedie, 3791 Elmira Road. The j hosts are long-time friends of ; the bride s parents. The bride wore an afternoon dress In poudre blue, made of sheer material. It had long sleeves and full gathered skirt. She wore a spray of white as ters in her hair, and carried or chids on a white Bible. Her sister, Miss Kathleen Watts of St. Louis, Mo., was her attendant. She wore an after noon dress of sheer material, iridescent lavender and green, and carried a nosegay of white and - pink - striped carnations. John W. Evans was best man. Candles were lighted by Miss Carol and Janet Tweedie. The ceremony took place before the fireplace, the mantel of which was decoratel with holly and white candles. Stacey Green played piano music, and Douglas Stobie sang. At the reception which fol lowed, Mrs. C. W. Hawkesworth poured coffee and Mrs. John Rosene, aunt of the bride, pour ed punch. For going away, the bride wore a teal-blue woolen dress with cherry-colored woolen cnat. They are at home at 465 E. 11th St. Springfield Church Scene of Marriage Springfield Assembly of God Church was trimmed with a white arch and gates entwined with ivy, centered by a cross of bronze chrysanthemums for the wedding of Miss Jean Marks to Donald E. Van Ordstrand of Den ver Nov. 9. The Rev. Arthur Hy land officiated. Parents of the bride are Mr. and Mrs. Roy O. Marks of Eugene. Given in marriage by her fa ther, the bride wore a royal blue suit with wine accessories and carried an orchid corsage on a white Bible. Her two attendants, Mrs. Rollo Schultz, her sister, and Mrs. Gerald Wilson, both of Springfield, also carried corsages on white Bibles. Best man was David Marks of Eugene, brother of the bride, and ushering were another brother, Glenn Marks of Eugene and Bob and Bill Whitlow of Springfield.- After a trip along the Oregon Coast and into Washington, the bride is living in Eugene.
