Contest judges explained that each entrant's trentment of con servatlon principles "may be based on information from text books, bulletins, motion pictures, Interviews or personal experiences, but practical application of the subject to the land In the com munity, state or nation will be given special consideration In the judging of each paper." Entries must not exceed 800 words and will be Judged on the basis of 88 points for effectiveness, 10 points for originality, 18 for practical application of subject matter and 10 for grammatical correctness. Grange In the spring visitation, each, family is asked to bring both pie and sandwiches. Mrs. Charlie Carter and Mrs. Guy Stephens are in charge of decorations for the evening. The Home Economics Club is planning a three-act com edy to be given the last week in April, date to be announced. The play has been cast and 12 grange members are taking part. Next meeting of the club will be with Mrs. Cleo Carter and this will be the mystery, pal revelation and new names will be drawn. Mrs. Myron Shelley and one member of her committee will be present for the meeting. Mrs. Shelley is Lane County Pomona Home Economics chairman. Sunday, May 1, is set aside for Grange Church Sunday, at the hall with potluck dinner at noon and preaching service in the after noon. The grange chaplain, Mrs. Guy Stephens, and Mrs. Verlet Swezey, H E club chairman, are in charge of arrangements. This H E club will visit Mohawk McKenzle Club and Lowell Club will visit our club for the spring visitation of clubs. Both dates to be announced. The birthday table will be set for the first quarter the first Grange meeting In April with Mrs. Guy Stephens and Mrs. Clarence Potter in charge. WALTERVILLE Tuesday evening, March 15, when the local grange entertains for Central SANTA CLARA Grange meets Tuesday, 8 p. m. Lorane Grange officers will open and close the meeting and furnish the program.
