CAB Rejects Plea For Honolulu Flights PORTLAND u.R) The Civil Aeronautics Board' has rejected Matson Steamship Line's proposal for temporary scheduled air serv ice between the Pacific Northwest and Honolulu pending final de cision of the Northwest-Hawaii case. Portland officials were ad vised from Washington Friday. In denying Matson's ' motion, filed May 6, for permission to start temDOrarv serving, n mim (hA i CAB held that the line "did not established any special or unusual circumstances sufficient to re quire the emergency relief re quested." Matson had contended that the Northwest-Hawaii traffic was suf ficient to warrant immediate scheduled air service.
