Erosion Control Program Grows More than 5000 dams and ponds for erosion control and livestock water have been constructed on Oregon farms and ranches in the past 10 years with AAA practice program assistance, E. H. Miller, chairman of the State Committee said Wednesday. , But in announcing this record of accomplishment, Miller points out that a recent conservation needs survey shows that at least that many dams are needed to pre vent erosion by heavy spring run offs and provide dry-season water for livestock.
