The reason for closing the roads to trucks is that it takes some time for the oil surface to settle prop erly. Light traffic will be allow ed on both roads. Lutheran Society The women's missionary society of the United Lutheran church will meet Thursday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the home of Mrs. Harold Davenport. The topic for the afternoon will be "Women and the Way in China." Mrs. Frank S. Beistel will be leader. Morse were on the South slough, across the river from Cushman, Monday, obtaining right of way for the new road to be built in that district. Visit at Klamath Falls Mr. and Mrs. James Snyder of Eugene are visiting in Klamath Falls, at the home of their son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Lynn Walker. Grange Will Have Supper Franklin grange will hold a pot- luck supper at Alderwood state park Wednesday evening, Aug. 14. Calif. She was called to that city by the death of her brother last Saturday.
