"We have found that it takes expert adult leadership to carry out the Youth League program effic iently," he said, "and in accordance with the ndvice of the state office are concentrating our efforts to make this organization a model group until we can find leaders with the correct qualifications to hire as instructors for now divisions of the League." Polk County Court To Visit Tuesday The P.olk county court will visit Lane county the coming Tuesday, February 23, according to a letter sent Saturday to County Judge Fred Fisk from E. J. Himes, county sur veyor for Polk. The purpose of the visit is to inspect and study book keeping methods of the Lane court, look over road machinery and equip ment, and generally look over county activities. County Officials See Crossing Job County Surveyor P. M. Morse and County Commissioner Walter J. Hol land were at Oakridge the latter part of the week inspecting the overhead crossing there. Work is progressing nicely, the two say. At present the crews have been putting up the huge beams which hold up the highway over the railroad tracks. These beams are each 1H1 feet long and weigh 20 tons each. The railroad company is assisting the con tractor In placing these beams.
