Huntley, the retiring collector, will be "checked out" by auditors of the office of the super vigor of collections and accounts of tbe internal revenue department. This Information was received by Huntley today. It is the custom 0 tbe Internal revenue department to cheek the ac count of all collector! semi-annually as a matter of routine, and when a transfer is made from an outgoing to an incoming collector, a special check and inventory is tnken. Maloney and Mm. Maloney hare left Portland for a visit with friends on the coast, expecting to return next week.
