Highway Employe Injured in Fall Falling from a 20-foot bridge while nt work norm ot t lorence, inursiiay, C. A. Mansur received internal in- jurici and many bad body bruises. He was brought to the 1'acitic v nristian hospital about 9 o'clock Thursday evening. Attending physicians sny his condition is serious but not critical. The accident happened Thursday afternoon. Mr. Mancur is an employe of the Holt Construction company, which has the contract for a section on the Coast highway. Mr. Mansur was reported " to be resting comfortably, Friday. Timber Sales in Siuslaw Reported Total value of timber sales in the Siuslaw nntional forest during 1031 was $1,879.01, according to figures announced nt the office of R. S. Shelley, supervisor of the forest, Fri day. The sales included 500 cords of wood. 550 posts, some cedar timber and some second growth fir timber. The cedar was used in a small sawmill in the Mnpleton district nnd the second-growth fir was sawed at a small mill in Lincoln county. The report shows thnt the totnl board feet of timber sold amounted to 9SS.950. "DOZEN" LEMONS RED WING, Minn. Mrs. M. Buch hola hns a lemon trco that produces "dozen-in-one" lemons. The fruit ot this tree is so named for Its size. The lemons weigh about a pound nnd a half, as compared with the ordi nary four-ounce lemons. The annual meeting of the Con gregational church was held Thurs day evening at tile church, about 1IH1 attending. A covered dish supper was served at 0:15 o'clock followed by the program and meeting.
