Siltcoos Landmark Being Torn Down SILTCOOS, Dec. 20.-(Special) The dismantling of the large old house near the Earl Gardiner place be tween Siltcoos nnd Canary, reniovea one of the landmarks of earlier days. The house was built by Prof. Thomas Martin, now deceased, as years ago. The lumber was hauled from Sotilli Slough, near Cushtnnn. over trails whirh permitted hauling only a few hundred feet of lumber at n trip. (Special) The postoffice employes are beginning to notice the uhnstmns rush, and every day finds them a little busier. It hasn't yet been necessary to put on any eitra help but by the first of the week there will probably be another clerk. So far no foreign packages have been received and only a few have been sent.
