Indicted were James Arthur Patton, Earl J. Bonney and Er nest L. Gibson. . Patton currently is in custody aj Los Angeles awaiting a Nov. 7 extradition hearing; Gibson is in prison under a 10-year sentence for a car theft after he escaped from jail; and Bonney is still at large. Linn County Jailer Lou Andrus was beaten and robbed when the trio escaped from jail here Aug. 7. Also, indicted on a separate charge was M e 1 v i n Robert Schlicht, driver of a log truck in volved in a crash near Cascadia that killed a Silvcrton couple. He was charged with negligent homicide. the residents, Mr, and Mrs. Dale Koehler. Four Albany young people, .all occupants of the car, were shaken up and two of them were hospital ized overnight fnr observation of inhiries. The accident happened on Knox Butte Road as the young people were returning to Albany from Lebanon at 1:20 a.m. State police said steering appar atus on the car apparently failed and caused the crash. Group Named To Advise on Courthouse Statesman Ntwi Service DALLAS, Oct. 21 A planning committee to consider remodeling of the Polk County courthouse has been appointed by the county court, announces County Judge Cal M. Barnhart. A $100,000 reserve for remodel ing purposes was set aside by the county budget committee early in the year. At that time, it was decided that a planning committee should be appointed to consider the feasi bility of remodeling to make more efficient use of courthouse space Judge Barnhart said that the com mittee would undertake prelimi nary action soon.
