The day was spent quilting and work ing on hand work which will be sold at the annual bazaar on Fri day evening, Dec. 2. at the Elliott Prairie Community hall. Election of officers and the ap pointment of committees was hi business of the day. Vance Yoder. , .Work on the marble-faced and reinforced concrete roofed mau soleum is expected to begin in early spring of 1956. ;Tbe build ing is estimated to have a cost of more than $30,000. It was designed by Joseph W. fleider, Portland architect. ; Additional sections will be cum onto tne mausoleum as needed. The present building -plans call for housing of 100 crypts. Several proj ects were suggested and given over to a special committee for investigation as to cost and ap proval of the school board. Mrs. Harold Holler was named health chairman. Volunteers for the project committee are Mrs. Thomas Enright, Mrs. W. A. Rickman, Mrs. Bernard Focht, Harold Holler and Gerald Smith headed by Arthur Bradley, fifth grade teacher. Transfer of the Fred Stadeli farm from the Central Howell to Ever green district was authorized, ef fecting one child. A petition to transfer the Vernal Pickens prop erty from North Howell to Bethany district was denied i because of overcrowding at Bethany. Both boards had agreed to the latter decision. Krenz at the Home Extension Unit meeting Tuesday. The several colorful and tasty salads made during the demon stration were served to the mem bers at the luncheon hour.
