Former U.S. Sen. Harry P. Cain will sit as a one-man panel for the board to weigh charges that the Pension Union is a Communist front ; organization. Cain is chair man of Ore board. Numerous witnesses labeled the Pension Union as a Communist directed organization at the Legis lative Un-American Activities In vestigating Committee hearing in 1943, at the Smith Act trial of state i Communist leaders in 1953 and at hearings of the House Un American Activities Committee in 1954 and again - last March. Many of the same witnesses will be called to repeat their testimony before Cain.
