Angel. The bridegroom is the son of Mrs. Margaret Davis of Salem. (Jesten-Miller Studio). Garden Reception Follows the Davis-Williams Rites Saturday 1 MT ANGELA late summer wedding, followed by a garden recep tion, was that of Miss Farrell Lillian Williams, daughter of Dr. and .Mrs. 0. J. Williams of Mt. Angel, and Robert W. Davis, son of Mrs. Margaret Davis, Salem, on Saturday morning at 10:30 o'clock. The Rev. Clement -Frank, Mt. Angel, read the vows and was celebrant for the nuptial m2ss in St. Mary's Catholic Church. IMike Penner and David Schmidt served the mass and Mrs. Al Schroeder of Salem and Miss Eustelle Bauman of Mt. An- j gel sang. Miss Helen Keber was the - organist. 1 The bride chose a floor length j own of nylon tulle over misted taffeta, the portrait neckline out lined in imported Italian lace. A matching lace headdress, embroi dered in sequins and seed pearls held her fingertip veil. Her cas cade bouquet was fashioned of white Elf roses and stephanotis. She wore white wrist gloves and carried the bridegroom's gift, a sterling and crystal rosary. Maid of honor was Miss Betsy Looncy of Brooks and brides maids were Miss Helen McGee, Santa Monica, Calif., and Miss Toni Williams, the bride's sister. Gowns of the Attendants All were dressed alike in em- Delta Gamma Picnic The Delta Gamma alumnae will entertain their husbands and families at a no-host picnic on Sunday, August 28 at the home of Mr. and Mrs. John William Stortz, 1567 'Strong Road, at 2 o'clock. All Delta Gammas in the vicinity are invited to attend. Miss Mary Virginia Miss Lorene Edwards is Married Pink gladioluses and purple delphinium banked the altar of the First Presbyterian Church Saturday night for the wedding of Miss Lorene Ellise Edwards, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Law rence Edwards of Turner, and 'James R. Quick, son of Mr. and ! Mrs. R. H. Quick of Castle Rock, Wash. Dr. Paul Newton Poling offic iated at the 8 o'clock rites. Miss Sharon Anderson sang and Miss Ruth Bedford was the organist Miss Janice siddan ol poniana and Miss Elizabeth Tate of Sub limity lighted the candles. The bride's gown, which was made by her mother, was of lace and tulle over satin. The lace bodice, embellished with crystal beads, was designed .with a sweet- heart neckline. The skirt was of ! nylon tulle over satin and en hanced with cutout roses appli iqued on the side panels- and around the train. Her short, 'nylon tulle veil was caught to a croyn of seed pearls. She car ,ried a bouquet of Esther Reed daisies centered with pink rose buds. Walk Before the Bride I Four atendants preceded the bride to the altar, wearing crys tallette waltz frocks with long i torso bodices. The matron of honor, Mrs. Ted Stook, wore tulip pink and the bridesmaids, Mis Lora Lee Brown, Miss Sally Klein and Mrs. Dave Teyema, wore Italian purple dresses. Mrs. Stook carried a purple fan with pink and purple daisies and the bridesmaids' fans were pink adorned with purple and pink daisies. Robert Radakovich stood with Mr. Quick as best man and ush ers were Gene Flippin, Lennie Edwards, William Swift and Don ald Taylor. For her daughter's wedding Mrs. Edwards chose a cham pagne lace gown with avocado accessories and pink carnation corsage. Mrs. Quick wore an aqua crepe gown with white ac cessories and corsage of pink carnations for her son's mar riage. Reception Follows A reception followed in the social hall. Pouring were Mrs. Arthur Edwards, the bride's grandmother, and Mrs. .John Seim. Cutting the cake were Mrs. Nobel Deebert, the bridegroom's aunt, and Mrs. Ella Given, grand mother of the bride. Assisting were Mrs. Robert Purdy, Misses Dona Given, Jeanette SiddalL Diana Watson, Tamara Needham. Passing the dream cakes were Ronnie Stock, nephew of the bride, and Beverly Quick, sister of the bridegroom. The newlyweds have gone to Victoria, B. C. on their honey moon and for traveling the bride donned a black and white sheath dress with white top coat and hat and black patent accessories. The couple will be at home at 718 East Lincoln Ave.,Hillsboro, after September 10. Quick (Lorene Ellise ; Edwards) who was married August 20 at the First Presbyterian Church. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Ed wards of Turner and her husband is the son of Mr. and Mrs. R. H. Quick of Castle Rock, Wash. (Jesten-Miller Studio). ' Miss Charlen Woods, popular August bride-elect of Dale Coot ey of Albany, is being feted at a round of parties prior to her marriage, next Sunday at St Paul's Episcopal Church. Mrs. James B. Manning, Mrs. Leslie Wadsworth and her daughter, Miss Karen Michalson, will be hostess for a pre-nuptial party Wednesday evening at the Wadsworth home on North 14th Street. The. affair will be held in the garden and late refreshments will be served by the hostesses following the kitchen shower. Thirty-five guests have been in vited to the party. Miss Mary Lee Flower of Sun nyside, Wash., who will be Miss Woods maid of honor, will en tertain at luncheon and a linen shower for the pleasure of the bride-elect and a few of her friends on Thursday. The affair will be held at Lipman's Cherry Room. Millers to Chicago Mr. and Mrs. Howard F. Miller will entrain for Chicago on the City of Portland Monday. Mr. Miller will attend a meting of the executive council of the Na tional Interscholastic Music Act ivities Commission in the Hilton Hotel. He is the representative from the Pacific Northwest states on this .commission. On the return trip the Millers will stop over in Denver to visit their son A 2c Charles Eugene Miller, who is a radar instructor in the B47 school at Lowry Air Base. The groom's mother chose a blue linen dress embroidered in white, white stole and accessor ies and a corsage of garnet roses. The grandmother of the bride, Mrs. Dan Thorp of Mt. Angel, and g r ea t-grandmother, Mrs. Otto Schaubel, Salem, and the bride's paternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. J. L. Williams, of Alhambra, California, were pres ent for the rites Hugh Clark Hyndman was best man for the groom and grooms men were James Dardis and Da vid Given, both Salem. The ush ers were Francis Piatz, Roy Pal mer, Mt Angel and Michael Cur vlla, Seattle. A wedding breakfast was serv ed in the Mt Angel hotel to the bridal party and the two families. Serving were Miss Anita Wilde, Miss Maxine Geek and Miss Char lotte Kintz. After the breakfast, the bride and her husband went to the chapel of Mt.
