STARR REPORTS: One of the mysteries of Hollywood these days concerns the status of "The Comedy Hour" come June 12, when it is scheduled to start its summer season under the com bined aegis of NBC, Paramount, York Productions arid a new ad vertising agency. York Produc tions is the Martin & Lewis pro duction company, Jerry Lewis, president They are supposed to be producing the new series. Paramount to whom Martin & Lewis are under contract is sup posed to be chipping in with film clips from its upcoming feature pictures, although the show kself is being billed as a live show. Nobody at York Productions, in cluding Jerry Lewis, seems ta have the faintest idea as ta what will be going aa the air June 12 or wha will be patting it on. No body at Paramount knows any thing about it Nobody at NBC knows anything about it. NBC tells yon to call York, York tells you ta call Paramount, Para mount' tells you ta call NBC. And June 12 is not very far away. Martin L Lewis, meanwhile, will do the Jane S "Comedy Hour." This much they know. Bat there's a script yet. Confusing, isn't it? a a STARRDUST: CBS is taking a deep breath and throwing its highly prized new film series, "Gunsmoke," into the Saturday night spot opposite George Gobel next season. Reminds us of the situation two years ago when NBC condemned Dennis Day to the Monday spot opposite "I Love Lucy" and Dennis toyed with the idea of tossing a "farewell lunch eon" for the press.
