Film Showing Due Sunday A new film, "Design for Tomor row", will be shown at Kingwood Bible Church Sunday at 7:30 p.m. This film is the story of Dave and Helen Meyers and Sue! The sacrificial but, rewarding life of America's small-town pastor and his family is depicted realistically in color film. The film is sponsored by the Northwestern School of Min neapolis, Minn., and produced by Great Commission Films. "Sailing With Chris will be the theme of the Vacation Bible School at the church. Smith Salim Church of the Kaz- arene will be dedicated Sunday at 2:30 p.m., according to the pastor, the Rev. James E. Kratz. Delivering the dedicatory ad dress will be Dr. Hardy C. Pow ers, senior general superintend ent in the Church of the Nazar- jene. Words of greeting will be ) brough by Senator Mark Hatfield, 'member of the Oregon Legisla ture, and the Rev. William F. Clay, president of the Salem Min isterial Association. The morning services will be ein at 9:45 a ra. with a unified j program. The Sunday School and worship services will be com bined, with shortened class periods during the first part of the morning session. Morning worship is' scheduled to begin at 10:30 a.m. This change -in. time will facilitate preparations for the dedicatory service in the afternoon. The recently elected officers of the church will be installed in a candlelight ceremony to be con ducted at the close of the 7 p.m. evangelistic hour. The public is welcomed to all of the services. The 33 by 70 foot frame struc ture is located at 565 EL Madrona Ave. and has a seating capacity of 230 in addition to the balcony where a nursery is maintained Sunday School rooms are in the basement of the one story build ing. Lowry of Salem, former state president of Christian Youth Group, has accepted a call to be come pastor of the Hubbard Full Gospel Church. The announce ment was made following a con gregational meeting Wednesday evening. The Rev. and Mrs. Lowry and their two sons have spent over five years in Madurai, India where they were associated with the Foreign Missions Board of the Assembles of God Church. The Rev. Dr. Powers has been chairman of the Board of General Superin tendents (consisting of five men) since 1949. He has travelled ex tensively in Japan. Australia. Af rica, India, South America, Alaska and Hawaii as well as in the United States in the supervision work of the Nazarene denomina tion, i Dr. Powers is in Salem in con nection with the recent Missionary Convention and j Assembly which was held at First Nazarene Church.
