The group will entertain Jaycee-ettes from Dal las, Albany, Silverton, McMinn ville, Woodburn and North San tiam at a Gay Nineties party on May 27 at the Mayflower Halt On April 30 the Jaycees and their wives will entertain with a dance at the Senator Hotel in honor of the North Santiam Junior Cham ber of Commerce and their wives. Mrs. 0. E. Palmateer, captain of the drive for funds for Capital Unit requests that more volunteer their services for the drive. Mrs. Helen McLeod, principal of the new Grant School, thanked the unit for the new flag which was presented to the school. A Lin den, 1795 Fir Street to make pil lows and robes for veteran hos pilals. Unit members, American War Mothers and Gold Star mothers will be guests of Capital Post for a turkey dinner Monday evening, May 2 at the American Legion Hall. Following the business meeting colored slides taken by Mr. and Mrs. Heath Lowry in India during their stay there as missionaries were shown. Mrs. Lowry told of the customs of the Indian nation als.
