Brandt Jr.. Mrs. Monroe Cheek and Mrs. Theron Hoover resigned i as members of the YWCA board at the monthly meeting beld Tuesday at the YW. The board named two new mem bers, Mrs. Theodore Jenny and Mrs. C. M Collins, who will serve as public relations chairman and public affair chairman respective- ly. ' Mrs. Robert D. Gregg, the new ly; elected president, presided at her first meeting. Announcement was made of sev eral coming events. The member ship was invited to attend the sil ver tea to be given Sunday, Nov ember 14, by the Soroptimist club as a benefit for the resident girls' lounge at the YW. The annual smorgasbord of the YWCA and YMCA is slated for November 18, the event this year to be at the YW. A Christmas ball is planned at the YWCA on December 27. Twenty-six relatives attended including the families of two daughters and two sons. They are Mr. and Mrs. Harrold (Virgie) Reeves and son, Duane, of Spring field, Mr. and Mrs. Paul (Doris) Wilson apd their children Robert and I Arlene. McKibben of Airlie. i ; Mrj and Mrs. Whitaker were married on November 3, ; 1904, in Bethany, Missouri, and came west in 1908 to live one year, at Kelso, Washington' ; before coming to Oregon in March, 1909 where they farmed near Independence for two years. They then bought their farm one mile north, of Airlie, where they resided until the place was made a part of Camp Adair.
