j i i ! ! i i i Group to Study Raindrop Size SOUTH BEND, Wash. ( Now they're going to measure the size of raindrops. f f ! It's a phase ' of . the Weather Bureau research ' project in which . scientists have been studying: the effect of cloud seeding on rainfall. Machines called raindrop , spec trographs have been installed at Olympia. Hoquiam and at Eklund Park.' between j Raymond and South Bend. They operate by de flecting raindrops into a metal box where they fall on a sheet of sensitized paper which can be developed like a 'photographic print for a permanent record. -The reason? ! I Ferguson Hall, project director. says the information should be valuable for "quantitative meas ' surement of rainfall by radar, the rate of run-off of precipitation and the effect of: drop size on soil erosion. lieu York Sicsh Quotations By The Associated Press There is evidence, that the Here ford breed of beef cattle was bred to produce work animals in early day England! .1 Salem Obituaries r i i NOTICE FOB PUBUCATION Oregon 02928 i MA Oregon 02928.
