They bought at home in In dependence and have made this area their home in recent years. Mr. King has followed farming and logging most of his lifetime and st present is actively engag ed as a logging contractor operat ing at Glide in Southern Oregon. Mrs. King formerly was an ob stetrical nurse and doctor's as sistant She says her hobby has been1 her own family of eight children, 18 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren; All of the children were present for the ' golden wedding i anniversary: Ralph and Bob King, Independ ence; Roland King; Mrs. Cecil Hauzwell, Mrs. Bluford Osburn and Mrs. Verca ! Stilt, all of Leb anon; Mrs. i ciinora b&eeis, Springfield; and Mrs. Verl Skeels, Winchester. Mrs. Clora towards. Spring- field, is a lifetime i friend and schoolmate of Mrs. King and was here to assist with the anniver sary; also Mrs. Bartin Hinz and Mrs. ' Earl Shackmann. both of Lebanon, longtime neighbors and friends. - a: a er many MCTivmes At YWCA Camp Among the many activities at YWCA Camp Silver Creek for Junior high girls this week were two organized trips on Wednes day. A trip to Taylors Grove and 1 a four mile hike around Silver Creek Falls was led by Denis Lavender. Mr. Lavender will also conduct a star gazing program at I evening campure. A birthday skit entitled "Sweet Sixteen" will be presented by the girls of Bear Creek unit in honor of one of the junior counselors. Miss Shirley Blush.
