We should let a dead pin lay, but when an old timer like Ercel Kay shoots under a 400 series we cant help it if our devilment gets the best of us. It happened last Thursday night while bowling la the Mercantile League at CapitoL Mr. Kay started the evening with a blistering 134. followed by a masterful 131 and concluded the most terrifying evening of his pin life by banishing the pins to the tune of 128, for a monstrous 393 total You know. Ere. this type of keg- ling would stop and make anybody wonder why we go through au this torture. You have my deepest sympathy ... I might add as an afterthought, a 101 game shot by Gwen Upston last Tuesday night at U-Bowi was far from average, not to mention th blistering U7" thrown by hook ball artist Sylvia (Digger) Gardner. Chuckle, chuckle . . . Then we had the gal who was all over the head-pin, speaking of Mavis Jones who had the misfortune of collecting five, yes, five, splits in a row. We also had the fellow that is capable of rolling a beautiful 257 game, only to end up with a skimpy 569. I wonder if Ken Nelson happens to know of the business. Still yet. we have the league secretary who is always griping about subiti tutes not informing the team captain about absentees, then turns right around and pulls the very same stunt he preaches against all year. I know of two and maybe two more teams that were left in the lurch by certain said secretary. Brudder, you'se had better hurry home soon, while you'se is still able. P.S. Ben jamin ...
