Shoe Price Index Said to be Stable NEW PORK WV-Stability of shoe prices in comparison with price movements of hides, skins and leather has been stressed by the National Shoe Manufacturers Association. The wholesale prica index of hides and skins moved from ti3 in June, 1950, to 140 J in January, 1931, the association said. Between then and April. 1832, the index fell back to 49.7. During this period, the whole sale price of footwear fluctuated comparatively little. From June, 1950, to April, 1951, the low was 102.7 and the high 123.1.
